FRP. The smarter solution.

FRP (Fibre reinforced polymers), products are produced from a combination of ‘E’ glass and resilient polyester or vinylester resin which are bonded together inside heated dies through a pultrusion process to form this incredibly strong, lightweight and durable material. It will not corrode in salt or fresh water, be eaten away by chemical solutions or warp under pressure. Also, it will not conduct electricity, or interfere with Wi-Fi and cellular transmission.

What FRP will do is significantly reduce your installation costs. At 25% of the weight of steel, and 70% of the weight of aluminium, FRP is lightweight and easy to install and requires less structural support from foundations. Better yet, it can be fabricated on site with no welding required.

Most importantly, FRP will slash life-cycle costs to virtually zero. FRP can withstand the most corrosive environments and is virtually maintenance free.

The sustainable choice

Argos FRP is as kind to the environment as it is to maintenance teams. It consumes comparatively little energy in production – 57 times less per kilo than aluminium. Being lightweight, it uses less energy during transportation and installation. As there’s no need for painting, anti-corrosion treatments or pest treatments, it uses almost no energy over its life cycle. As FRP doesn’t corrode or deteriorate, it can be recycled upon decommissioning.
